About Keeping learning fun
I’m Ophelia, and I come from a blended family of six. I love outdoor adventures, roller skating, and recharging at the beach. When I’m not teaching or exploring the world, you might find me trying out a new recipe. I am deeply thankful for my health, my family, and the privilege of walking with God.
My Story
I am credentialed in Mild/Moderate Special Education and have an authorization to teach Single Subject English completed at California Baptist University, I bring a robust academic foundation to my tutoring services. Ongoing professional development is really important to me, which is why I also obtained a Special Education Law and Advocacy Certificate, ensuring that I remain at the forefront of educational best practices.
A Highly Qualified Educator
I’m deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and culturally aware learning environment. I founded Club P.E.A.C.E. (Promoting, Embracing, and Accepting Culture and Ethnicities) at California Baptist University. This dedication to diversity ensures that all students feel valued and supported, regardless of their background or learning differences.
MY commitment to Cultural Awareness & Inclusion
With over ten years of experience in education, including more than four years as a High School RSP aide in a push-in model and four years as a Special Education Teacher for students in grades 4-6 in a Special Day Class (SDC) setting, I have honed my ability to provide individualized instruction and support.
